MicroHeat Technologies Pty Ltd (MHT) places great importance on the protection of the privacy of its clients, customers and website users.

This privacy policy sets out how MHT will deal with the personal information it collects, holds and uses and the circumstances in which such information may be disclosed.
Personal information is any information which could identify a person or from which a person’s identity can reasonably be determined.

Types of information collected
MHT collects personal information that is necessary to enable it to carry its functions and activities. In the course of conducting its business, MHT may collect personal information including, but not limited to, name, business or company name, address, telephone number and email address.

MHT may collect information when a person visits the MHT website, subscribes to MHT’s mailing list, makes an enquiry regarding a product or service, requests technical or other information in relation to MHT’s products and services or otherwise where MHT conducts business with a person.

If a person does not provide MHT with certain information MHT may be unable to provide access to relevant services or products.

Where reasonably practical to do so, MHT will collect information directly from a party. However from time to time, MHT may collect information from third parties, for example, credit reporting agencies and publicly available records.

People can generally visit MHT’s website without revealing their identity or other personal information. MHT will not collect any personal information about visitors to its website except where such information is knowingly provided.

Use of Personal Information
MHT will only use personal information for the purposes for which it was collected and for reasonably related business purposes. Such uses may include:

  • providing products or services which have been requested from MHT and keeping a record of those;
  • customer relationship management;
  • responding to enquiries;

MHT will provide people with access to their personal information unless it is lawfully authorised to refuse such request. A reasonable amount may be charged for providing access.

Accuracy of Personal Information
MHT will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information it collects is accurate, complete, up-to-date and relevant. People may notify MHT of changes to their information upon which MHT will take reasonable steps to correct any information which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. If a person wishes to have their personal information deleted MHT will delete that information wherever practicable, upon request.

In certain circumstances, a request to access, amend or delete personal information may be refused. In this situation, MHT will provide reasons for that decision and, in relation to amendments, will include a note with such personal information to the effect that its accuracy is in dispute.

Security of personal information
MHT will take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Any personal information held by MHT will be stored in a secure server or secure files.

Amendments to Privacy Policy
MHT may amend or update this Privacy Policy from time to time at MHT’s discretion and without notice. The latest version of MHT’s Privacy Policy will be maintained on this website and will also be available by contacting the Privacy Officer on the contact details set out below.
